Statement
Tour de Tohoku is a bicycle event held to support
the restoration efforts after the Great East Japan Earthquake,
and is aimed to be held continuously for 10 years.
Tour de Tohoku is a bicycle event held by
Kahoku Shimpo Publishing Co. and
Yahoo Japan Corporation since 2013 for
the purpose of supporting the restoration efforts
and bequeathing the memories of the Great East Japan Earthquake.
This is not a race for time, but rather a fun ride event.
We have prepared courses for cyclists to fully enjoy the sceneries
and cuisines of Tohoku while they see the recovery progress with their own eyes.
In order to provide a long-term support for the recovery of Tohoku,
one of our targets is to hold the event for ten consecutive years.
